Why soccer is the greatest sport on earth

From the slums in Africa to the royal streets in London, soccer has been recognized as not just a sport, a game, but a Religion. Soccer is being watched, loved, and played by billions of people everyday. Long since soccer was created in England hundreds of years ago, it has demonstrated to be a true gentlemen's game. Before kick-off, the home team sings their national anthem, following the away team singing theirs respectively. While the national anthem is being sung, the fans of the opposing team stand strong on their feet to show respect and manner to one another's country. There are tons of reasons why soccer has cherished the whole world with such joy. Soccer has accompanied people with hope from poor kids in Senegal West Africa attempting to become professional soccer players to support their parents to rich kids in Luxembourg striving to play for the national team and make it's country proud. During the time when Palestine had political problems with Israel in which many people have been killed, it seemed like Palestinians had nothing to embrace to, but when the Palestine National team beat Guam with a miraculous score of 11-0, it seemed like their days seemed to get brighter once again and they had something to dream and hope for. Watching a 90 minute soccer match can get so much stress off your shoulders, although its for a short period of time, it helps. With the rules of soccer being so straightforward and simple, anyone can play or follow it. The rules strictly emphasize non-violence actions, Anti-Racism in which brackets along with ads surround the soccer field, and friend-zone area. The rules and regulations of FIFA (Federation International of Fifa Association) can be viewed at www.fifa.com/mm/document/affederation/federation/lotg_en_55753.pdf

Another reason soccer is loved by billions is because of the simplicity in equipment. The requirements are simply a ball built from anything, whether it is tons of crumbled paper assembled into a round figure, or a brand new Adidas ball. This is the reason soccer is popular in third world countries that cannot afford this high tech equipment, so they develop their own ball and play with friends and loved ones. The goalposts can be made simply made with branches, garbage can, or any other simple item.  They play until their feet fall off, hoping one day they can be like their heroes on the soccer pitch, carrying their nations pride on their shirt, being applaud and respected by millions. A prime example of this is the soccer player Samuel Eto'o who grew up in Senegal as a poor child with no more then a rock used as a ball. He didn't have fancy shoes or cleat, matter of fact he didn't have shoes at all. He would play barefoot with a stone hard rock. But of course, he didn't let these obstacles get in the way of him from pursuing what he loves, and now his revenue is 19.4 Million. Samuel Eto'o demonstrated a true act of perseverance, this is the reason he is not only respected by his nation, but by millions of people world wide. You can view the top 10 most paid players at

America, which has been infamously known for not following the beautiful game of soccer, and known for the biased people who illicit the game of soccer, finally started growing in the branch of soccer. In the World Cup 2010, in which United States made it to the round of 16, every citizen of United States rooted and cheered for their country to strive forward and win the whole competition, whether it was baseball, football, or basketball fans. They finally realized how exciting and how much the game of soccer can reunite people. Famous athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Reggie bush, and LeBron James attended the United States games to cheer for their homeland. Soccer brings out the true patriotism in people.People all over the country were wearing the beautiful colors of red white and blue in the streets during the whole tournament to show their pride. Soccer has swept the whole world of its feet, besides America. But it looks soccer took over America as well, and can be truly named as the best sport in the world. You can get access to the game United States vs Slovenia highlights, in which United States got a unlucky draw in the World Cup qualifications by clicking here

After naming all the reasons why soccer is known world-wide, the joy it brings to people, how it reunites people, we can come to a conclusion that it truly is the greatest sport in the world.  Despite the judgmental comments people say about soccer such as "Soccer is for girls" or "Soccer sucks", deep down inside they know they watch every single game  of their country's matches. The expression"Numbers never lie" express soccers popularity with over 3 billion fans ! Not just a game, a sport, but a RELIGION.

Transfer Market Now Open !

The Transfer Market is now open ! This means clubs can bid on players, improve their team's chemistry, and be more dominant than the previous years ! The transfer market always bring excitement and joy to the fans because they are expecting a very good player to be signed into their favorite team. It can also brings disappointment because the best player on their team can transfer to another team. This is why the transfer market is so exciting. It's similar to the NBA draft, but there is no 1st pick or 2nd pick, which ever club gives the best offer ends up signing the player into their squad. It is usually the superior teams such as Barcelona, Manchester United etc. to sign players because of their reputation and the amount of money they have. Some players reject these luxury teams because they feel like they won't get any playing time, and their career will go down the drain. When soccer players are young, they desire more playing time and the money to them is irrelevant. As soccer players get older, they realize they need money for retirement so they tend to join a team who offers the most money, not where they will get the most playing time.

Kaka being signed to Real Madrid

Click here ,http://www.goal.com/en/scores/transfer-zone to see which players are transferring to which teams ! Fenerbahce has recently impressed their fans by making a huge choice by adding Dirk Kuyt to their squad by paying $3,000,000 a year ! Dirk Kuyt has played in the English Premier League for 10 years. English Premier League is known to be the best League in the world, therefore getting a player with this much experience from the best league can be really thrilling and exciting. Some transfers bring disappointment because you expect a lot from the player you signed, but they end up not showing their full performance, and the teams just ends up wasting their money. This is why every club teams have Scouts where their only job is to look for players who will be worth the money, and who has the same style as the team they will be transferred to. Style is a important factor because every league has a style, whether it physical, tactical, fast pace, or skillful.  Who do you want on you're team ?

UEFA EURO 2012 COMPETITION !

On Friday, June 8th , the UEFA Euro 2012 will kick-off with an intriguing match Poland vs Greece. The Euros take place every 4 years, similar to the World Cup Finals. Soccer fans have been anxious waiting for this moment for a long time, and now it is finally here !   Poland have a great advantage over Greece because the Competition is being held in their native land. Polish fans are known for having crazy hooligans who tend to cause vandalism when their desired team is losing. The hooligans also react with racism where they impersonate a monkey when a African player is on the pitch, or they make vulgar Jew comments. It's such a shame to watch the lovely game of soccer ending up in these situations, but despite the hooligans being cruel, the UEFA Euros always maintain to keep the fans off their seats and entertained. You never know which team will overcome which in soccer, it is extremely unpredictable, and like they say  "The game is not over , till its really over", Anything can happen within minutes, even seconds of playing.

Spain has shown true aspiration by winning both the 2008 UEFA Euro Cup and 2010 FIFA World Cup consecutively. No other team in the history of soccer has accomplished this achievement. They are also one of the favorable teams to take the cup home once again, so they have a lot of pressure on them. The "Group of death", which means the group with the most competitive teams, is group B. In this group are top teams like Portugal, Germany , Holland , and Denmark. Cristiano Ronaldo Vs Lionel Messi

Cristiano Rolando and Lionel Messi are arguably the two best players in the world at the moment. They are occasionally compared to each other by fans, coaches and more. People debate on who's better, but it would be unfair to say one is less talented than the other because the skill these two obtain is unheard of. The passing, dribbling skills, shots are all world class. Many teams want to draft these two players into their roster, but the amount of money they are worth is incredibly high. Messi and Ronaldo's net worth are $110,000,000 and $160,000,000 respectively. They both play in the same league, the Spanish La Liga League. This league is known for it's superiority and skillful players.Ronaldo plays for Real Madrid F.C. and Messi plays for F.C. Barcelona. Despite Ronaldo and Messi playing on rival teams, they are still friends. On field and off , they show respect to one another because they know the hard work it took to get to their level. These two superstars had rough childhoods, where Ronaldo had heart problems and Messi had a growth hormone deficiency. Messi played on Boca Juniors while he was 13 years old. He was 4'3'', which is abnormal for a 13 year old. Messi didn't have to waste a single penny while he was on Boca Juniors, they paid for everything. But Messi's Hormone Injections costed too much, so Boca Juniors had to choice but to lay him off the team. Barcelona sought Messi's skills and decided to pay for his hormones and schooling if he was willing to come to Spain, and he did. This shows true ambitious and perseverance because getting kicked out of Boca Juniors along with having a growth hormone deficiency didn't stop him from accomplishing his dreams. Messi has won 3 World Player of the Year Awards, and Boca Junior is most likely sobbing for letting him go. Messi is now worth 100000x more money then it would of cost to pay for his hormones, what a shame. Ronaldo and Messi will live on to be Legends and be remembered as the most skillful players ever. You decide who's better.

Turkish Super Lig

Turkish Super Lig season 2011-2012 has been absolutely Stunning. The 2 rivals Fenerbahce and Galatasaray went at it on Saturday, May 12th for the Championship title. It was in Istanbul, Fenerbahce Stadium, beautiful atmosphere with beautiful fans cheering on for their favored team. It was a breathe taking match, all Galatasaray need was a tie to become the champions, while Fenerbahce on the other hand was desperate for a win. After 90 minutes, the game ended in a draw and Galatasaray, for the 18th time, have took the Super Lig Cup home. It was dramatic for Fenerbahce because just 2 years ago they were in the same situation where all they need was a win to become champions, but they failed again. After a Galatasaray player provoked Fenerbahce fan's , they responded with riot ! They attacked the field and forced the Galatasaray players to leave the field WITHOUT the trophy. It was very bad way to end the season because soccer is a friendly game, and what goes on the field should stay on the field. Congratulations to Galatasaray !

With QPR leading 2-1 in extra time, and Manchester City having to score 2 goals in 5 minutes, the odds were extremely against Manchester City. But Manchester City overcoming these odds and still managing to score the 2 goals in extra time was extraordinary. They achieved the impossible, and won the title league with class. The fans never lost hope, they cheered for Manchester City throughout the whole game, winning or losing. The support drove the players to win the game, not only for the club, but for the hundreds of thousands of fans who came a long way to support their team. Manchester United on the other hand, had a great depression because if Manchester City lost or tied, they would of been champions ! It was a great season.
